IN YOUR FACE THEATRE

IN YOUR FACE THEATRE is an Edinburgh based Theatre Company, set up by Greg Esplin, with the views to push theatre past its boundaries. In Your Face work hard on knocking down the fourth-wall so that the audience are truly encaptured within the performance. We do not believe in actor/audience separation. We want you to experience our stories with more impact than 3D television. It is our ambition to allow the audience to forget they are watching a "show", you are watching an event unfold in front of you - and if you want to move out of the way, or move even closer to the action (if you don't mind us breathing down your necks) then feel free, but be warned, you might not want to get too close to some of our characters.

IN YOUR FACE THEATRE also run a Variety Performance night called "Open Up". This is held at the Tron Pub, Hunter's Square, Edinburgh. Depending on the schedule of In Your Face Theatre, these nights occur either fortnightly or monthly. Every session has been incredibly successsful with young performers from Edinburgh and Glasgow coming to practice their monologues, songs, poetry, stand up, and improvisation. We have had acts from Mark Hannah (Upcoming Stand Up Comedian), Miko Berry (European and Scottish Slam Poet Winner), To Be Continued (Improvisation Company from Edinburgh and Glasgow), and, of course, every member of In Your Face Theatre.Find more details OPEN UP!
